Operating from a £30m
purpose built campus close to the town centre and major road and
rail networks, Redcar & Cleveland College offers courses
ranging from Entry Level to Higher Education, on a full and/or
part-time basis. There is a recently opened, dedicated Higher
Education and Conference Centre on the campus, providing a
university-standard environment for learners. The College has a
main focus on STEM related subjects and holds National Skills
Academy accreditation for training in both Process Industry and
Environmental Technologies.
The College has a long
established reputation of delivering high quality Apprenticeship
and Advanced Apprenticeship training in many industry sectors. A
wide range of competency-based programmes in the workplace is also
offered, where support funding could be available.
Business Training Solutions
is the College's commercial arm, which focuses on responding to
organisations' training needs, whether this be short updating
courses or bespoke training packages. Courses include: Management
training to Level 7, Health and Safety, including IOSH, NEBOSH for
the Process Sector, Site Safety Passport and Abrasive wheels, plus
courses in Engineering, Science and Process Operations.
The College has a state of
the art BPEC approved Gas Centre delivering skills updating courses
for plumbers, heating engineers and other industry professionals to
ensure that gas work is carried out to new and current standards
and regulations.
Training courses in the
sustainable technologies are delivered in the College's
'Greenhouse', a domestic property located on the campus that has
been fitted with the latest in the renewable heating equipment.
