Revolutionising training in the process industries by building a coherent approach to skills training in our sector Training providers can reap huge benefits from becoming part of the National Skills Academy for Process Industries' prestigious training network. The network consists of a series of specialist training providers who have developed training provision in support of the services they provide to our industry. Through this network, employers are able to access their expertise whenever, and wherever they are based. The Academy welcomes Expressions of Interest from publicly funded and private or commercial training providers. Our ultimate aim is to develop strong national and regional networks capable of meeting the full range of skills needs of the process industries, enabling employers to benchmark, train and accredit, and record the achievements of their staff against the relevant Gold Standard frameworks for their industry.

We present our Accredited providers with an enhanced route to market, delivering a distinct marketing advantage through our Business Referral service, registration on the Skills Academy website, inclusion in targeted campaigns and use of our Skills Passport system. We also create opportunities to engage with employers through participation in an annual programme of national and regional workshops and seminars dealing with current industry skills issues, and encourage active involvement in qualifications and training standards development. Every organisation that joins our network will be supported through our rigorous accreditation process. Our aim is to work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses and if you are successful we will work with you to develop your organisation and staff capabilities. Accreditation: the options
As well as choosing between Centre of Excellence and Academy Centre, you will need to identify which specific accreditation is right for you. There are a number of options available, and you can choose one or more accreditations dependent on your capabilities and how you wish to market yourself as a Skills Academy accredited provider.
What are the benefits of accreditation?
Joining the Skills Academy gives you the benefit of sharing best practice with other specialist providers, becoming part of a committed and focussed network, and working with us to gain from ongoing support for your business and staff development:
Relationship-based referral marketing for training providers The Skills Academy works with training providers to ensure excellence in provision and offers them a direct route to market, providing them with opportunities to engage with employers seeking quality training or skills consultancy through an open and competitive referral process. The business referral system is a web-based referral platform where employers' specific training and skills consultancy needs are identified, and Accredited Providers and Associates are encouraged to respond with an outline proposal. The Skills Academy then helps the employer select the solution that best meets their needs. All Accredited Providers and Associates are invited to sign up to our Business Referral service.
