The Skills Academy welcomes two new board members

The Skills Academy has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors, they include:

Helen Stewart, HR Services Manager at INEOS Services and Infrastructure and Denise Hicks, Refinery Director of Human Resources, Valero Energy Limited.

Philip Jones, Skills Academy CEO said,"the two appointments represent a fantastic response to our open recruitment process for new Skills Academy Board members. We now have a board that is representative of the Sectors in our footprint. We look forward to working with the newly appointed Board members who will feed their ideas and industry knowledge into our work for employers, and support us to develop new and innovative projects and services both locally and nationally."

Helen attended her first board meeting in September 2011, and Denise who officially joins in January 2012 will attend her first meeting in March.

Our Board Members provide strategic direction and contribute enormously to our efforts to help employers steer a steady course through the skills agenda, particularly in the current economic climate.

We are looking to attract committed, dynamic individuals from a broad representation of process industries, in particular those with experience in the Composites Sector.
