S.W. Durham Training Ltd gains National Skills Academy for Process Industries Accreditation

S.W. Durham Training has been accredited by the National Skills Academy for Process Industries as a Centre of Excellence for Technical Competence.

The Skills Academy has an accredited network of providers throughout the UK who meet rigorous standards to ensure the highest quality provision is obtained.

The accredited network is aimed at ensuring high quality training across the process industries, promoting the use of national standards and boosting skills transferability.

Ann Cant Chief Executive of S.W. Durham Training said, "recognition from the National Skills Academy for Process Industries as an accredited provider is a reflection of the quality of the training we provide… The opening of CORE will provide young people in the region with tremendous opportunities for development, giving them access to state of the art equipment and learning that they may have previously found hard to find."

Ann added, "when I joined the organisation my ambition was to build closer links with schools in the region, so that pupils leaving school were better able to meet the needs of North East employers. Receiving Skills Academy accreditation will enhance our links to industry."

Speaking at the official launch of S.W. Durham Training's new CORE facility Philip Jones, Skills Academy CEO said, "we are delighted South West Durham Training is now part of our accredited network, delivering high quality training for employers in the region. CORE is an exemplar education facility for people wanting to get on and progress with a long lasting career in the process industries."
